Diagnostic Blood Test:
Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA), IFA
An ANA test is a blood test that looks for antinuclear antibodies in your blood. Antibodies are proteins that your immune system makes to fight foreign substances, such as viruses and bacteria. But an antinuclear antibody attacks your own healthy cells instead. The presence of a large number of autoantibodies or ANAs can indicate an autoimmune disease. ANAs could signal the body to begin attacking itself which can lead to autoimmune diseases, including lupus, scleroderma, Sjögren’s syndrome, polymyositis/dermatomyositis, mixed connective tissue disease, drug-induced lupus, hashimoto thyroiditis, inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune hepatitis.
Refunds are issued only under special circumstances such as not being able to retrieve a specimen for testing or if the lab is unable to complete the testing and provide results. If any of these conditions have been met, please contact us below to process your refund.
